Rachel Woodroof

       In the beginning of this year, I was lazy. This lead me to be a procrastinator and overall an irresponsible 9th grader. I underestimated just how challenging high school could be and thought nothing of it.  Focusing on assignments was a challenge and I defiantly did not do my best.  I have changed since then towards the end of this year I feel as though I have become responsible and I will not make the mistake of underestimating 10th grade as did this year. I am proud of how far I have come and that after this year I know I could handle anything. These are reasons why I am prepared for 10th grade; I will keep an open mind to the things I can and have the potential to achieve/understand.  

Out of the DRSS qualities I have applied to my performance this year would have to be persistence. I have always been a procrastinator but this year I really had to push myself to do the whole assignment and carry it through. This would be my greatest overall growth this year. I am ready for 10th grade because I can now do my work on time and with my best effort put forth. I will be able to manage the workload and communicate with my teachers on issues or problems I may have.  A main goal I have for 10th grade is to pass math with at least a B and to not receive any grades lower than a C, ever. I want to take at least one honors class because I know I can handle it after what this year has taught me. This is why I am ready for 10th grade.
