Greatest Growth

My greatest growth throughout high school has been developing a professional work ethic and multiple skills when it comes to projects and communication. I can apply these to any future careers and within the workforce.

These are some final papers from my English 1101 class. Throughout this year I have grown significantly in my ability to write and keep up with a workload. I greatly struggle with professional and logical type writing so this class was a great way to bring me out of my comfort zone and teach me new skills that I will be able to apply in the real world. These are snips of video projects I have done in my past years at DRSS. video editing and acting in them has never been my favorite thing but the skills learned in this type of project will benefit me later in life. Just understanding the process of how to create a promotional video or a video to present an idea is a great skill to have for multiple different career paths. I have done a lot of presentations and performances throughout my history, government and economics classes. Whether it be a monologue or a debate I know what to do and how to present it. In a any future career path having professional and well-organized public speaking skills is a requirement and I have I have grown significantly in this area because of these assignments. Throughout my time at DRSS I took an Architecture and Design class. It boosted my overall art skills and design skills and taught me how to use multiple different medians such as Adobe Illustrator. This project specifically stood out in my growth because of the process/steps in making it and the finished product. This a great area to have experience in since I want to enter the Fashion Design field. Click the Image to see the page and final product, click the arrows to see other images!

A class I never imagined myself getting good grades in is math. My first years at DRSS I never got above a C,  I had to start applying myself more and working outside of class. I received lots of help from peers and/or staying afterschool with teachers. It taught me persistence and resilience and now I get As and Bs.
