Experience
In 2019 I joined the West Carrollton track and Field team. I love to run and was so excited for all the new opportunities. I run in the 200m, 100m relays and do the high jump and Long jump events. Since DRSS does not have any sport options I am happy I was able to join West Carrollton Track and thanks to their open enrollment program. Now I have an opportunity at things such as sports scholarships.
Art is a skill I have been improving upon and working towards to benefit what I want to do in the future. It started as a hobby and then I grew a love for fashion design. Because of this my art skills are oriented towards figure anatomy and being able to effectively present my ideas.
I volunteer at the Patterson Homestead or Carillon park as a historical reenactor with my mom. This means that I go to there historical sites and tell visitors about the place and the people. The Carillon Historical Park is here to educate people about Dayton's local history so that's what I cover. I tell people about the history of the structures and artifacts (at the Patterson Homestead and Carillon Park) and the lifestyles of people who lived in that time. This is something I really enjoy because of my love for history .
Each year, I participate in the GoodGuys National Car Show in Columbus OH. Its full of thousands of classic cars and people. My mom is a vehicle photographer and so we take pictures of the cars and their unique features, continuously trying to find new ways to highlight the cars individuality in our photos.
One thing that I am heavily involved in is my church and and the outreaches we do all around the community. In this picture specifically is shows us at an addiction center in downtown Dayton. They did not have it up and running yet so we all went over to help fix and clean the building to be. Within the next week we went to the senior center and the Dayton Food Bank with one goal in mind, bettering the community. We hosted a block party with free food at the end of that week and have continued the same type of outreaches for past years and years to come.
