HOW 10th Grade Inspired my Future Career

Some things that inspired my career choices would be the comic book project in history, where we created our own comic books on historical events based around communism. Even though the project had to be about historical events, the whole thing still had to be illustrated by my partner and me. There was a lot of artistic freedom and as long as it was in the right time period and realistic we could draw and create whatever images and storyline that we wanted. For the comic Book project overall we had to create one comic, each 3 pages long, for the Chinese and Soviets. I did the one on China and created 3 fully illustrated pages. Each of these 3 pages are my artifacts; since my partner and I did not make a first draft and jumped straight into the final from the start. In the very beginning, looking at my comic book it is clear the main character on the cover has a very unique/design type of outfit on. One thing that I am and always have been interested in was fashion design and design in general. There a multiple fields for this craft but each of them require artistic skill. So drawing this comic helped push me to see where I could grow in my drawings and what I could do. I love to draw people, so drawing different perspectives and outfits in each box helped me grow and learn. I have never drawn most of what was in my comic so every box was a new experience and lesson learned. I spent hours of tedious work on it and afterwards I had a new light about just how tough art/drawing is; but overall pleased with the final product.
